Unified Policy Controls

The Palo Alto Networks PA-4000 Series firewall solution has been designed from the ground up to perform multiple security function (firewall, threat prevention, URL filtering, etc) all at multi-Gbps throughput levels. The process of classifying traffic, detecting and preventing viruses, spyware, vulnerability exploits and URL filtering are handled by a variety of dedicated processors, to ensure appropriate amounts of horsepower are available when needed. Rather than using cobbled together, hard-to-use management interfaces to set policies for disparate technologies, Palo Alto Networks uses a single policy to assemble all security rules including the matching criteria for the access control, threat prevention, URL filtering, logging, QoS and more.
