Speakers

Nir Zuk, Founder & CTO

Nir Zuk brings a wealth of network security expertise and industry experience to Palo Alto Networks. Prior to co-founding Palo Alto Networks, Nir was CTO at NetScreen Technologies, which was acquired by Juniper Networks in 2004. Prior to NetScreen, Nir was co-founder and CTO at OneSecure, a pioneer in intrusion prevention and detection appliances. Nir was also a principal engineer at Check Point Software Technologies and was one of the developers of stateful inspection technology.

Mark McLaughlin, Chairman, President & CEO

Mark D. McLaughlin has served as president and CEO of Palo Alto Networks since August of 2011. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Palo Alto Networks.

Mark previously served as President and CEO and as a Director of Verisign, as well as having served in a number of key positions at Verisign including Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President of Products and Marketing, and head of the company's Naming Services business. Prior to Verisign, he was the Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Signio, a leading Internet payment company, which was acquired by Verisign. Before joining Signio, he was the Vice President of Business Development for Gemplus, the world's leading smart-card company. And previous to Gemplus, he also served as General Counsel of Caere Corporation and practiced law as an attorney with Cooley Godward Kronish LLP. Mark was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve on the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) in Jan. 2011. He received his J.D., Magna cum Laude, from Seattle University School of Law and his B.S. Degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He served as an attack helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army and earned an Army Commendation Medal and Airborne Wings.

Rene Bonvanie, Chief Marketing Officer

René Bonvanie has more than 25 years of executive management and marketing experience in enterprise technology. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Marketing, SaaS, and IT at Serena Software, and was Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at SAP. Earlier, as CMO at Business Objects, René was responsible for all marketing activity, including corporate communications, field marketing, and product marketing. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at VERITAS Software Corporation. In his 10 years as Vice President of Product Marketing at Oracle Corporation, he managed the Oracle database product line, had editorial responsibility for Oracle Magazine and Profit Magazine, and co-founded Oracle's developer program, Oracle Technology Network.

Mark Anderson, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations

Mark Anderson has served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at Palo Alto Networks since June of 2012. Previously, Mark was Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales at F5 Networks where he oversaw all sales activities for the company since 2007. Prior to joining F5 in 2004, he served as Executive Vice President of North American Sales at Lucent Technologies. Mark has also held sales leadership positions at RadioFrame Networks and Comdisco. He served as the Western United States Regional Sales Director for Cisco Systems from 1997 to 2001 and is currently a member of the University of Washington Tyee Board of Advisors. Anderson holds a B.A. in Business and Economics from York University in Toronto.

Lee Klarich, Senior Vice President of Product Management

Lee Klarich brings a strong track record in network security product management to Palo Alto Networks. Lee was Director of Product Management for Juniper Networks, where was he responsible for firewall/VPN platforms and software. He joined Juniper Networks through the NetScreen Technologies acquisition, where he managed the same product line. Prior to NetScreen Technologies, Lee held various positions at Excite@Home and Packard Bell-NEC.

John Spiliotis, Vice President of Americas Sales

John is responsible for driving all Palo Alto Networks direct and indirect sales engagement activities in the Americas, ranging from channel momentum and major account team management to Service Provider, Federal, Systems Engineering and overall core sales strategy. Prior to joining Palo Alto Networks, he served as Vice President of Avaya’s Global Channel organization where he was responsible for leading the customer-focused and partner-engaged go-to-market strategy for Avaya’s global sales and channel organization.

Prior to Avaya, John held senior theatre-level positions with direct and channel leadership roles in Cisco, Extreme Networks, and Redback Networks, which was acquired by Ericsson. John has over 25 years of technology sales leadership experience across multiple industry verticals. John holds a Masters in Finance and Banking from Hofstra University and a BA degree in Mathematics from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina.

Tracy A. Pallas, Vice President, Channels & Distribution, Americas

Tracy Pallas’s career spans over 20 years of direct sales, channel sales, marketing and consulting experience. Selected as one of CRN Magazine’s Top Women in Channels in 2009, Tracy’s expertise lies in channel go-to-market strategies with a focus on net-new revenue creation with partners.

Tracy joined Palo Alto Networks in August 2012 as VP of Channels and is responsible for all routes-to-market including VARs, Service Providers, MSP’s and Systems Integrators in the US, Canada and Latin America – as well as managing relationships with all Distribution partners. Her team focuses on training & enablement, business planning, demand creation, and topline revenue growth.

Brett Eldridge, Vice President of Global Customer Engineering & Support

Brett has more than twenty years of experience working in security and networking startups and managing customer-facing technical organizations. Prior to Palo Alto Networks, he was at Infoblox where he was responsible for product management and marketing for 3 years and managed systems engineering and professional services for 2 years. Before joining Infoblox, Brett was responsible for the enterprise systems engineering team at Juniper. He joined Juniper Networks through the NetScreen Technologies acquisition where he managed worldwide field engineering. Prior to NetScreen Technologies, he was a co-founder and vice-president of operations at OneSecure and also held consulting positions at Hewlett Packard. Brett holds a MBA and BSEE from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

What does it cost to attend?

The Partner Conference is free of charge to attend and, due to limited space and budget, is limited to two registrants per company. The partner organization is responsible for all travel, hotel and additional expenses associated with traveling to the NextWave Partner Conference. Palo Alto Networks will provide meals for all attendees during the conference. If a partner wants to have additional employees attend, we will provide a per-person event cost that must be paid for by the partner organization.

Is my reservation transferable?

Registrations are transferable to another associate in your organization at any time. Registration substitutions should be made via the registration website.
