Santa Clara, Calif., October 27, 2014 – Palo Alto Networks® (NYSE: PANW), the leader in enterprise security, today announced it has been named the winner of the Fall 2014 Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA) STAR Award for Innovation in the Delivery of Support Services. The award was announced on October 22 at the Technology Services World (TSW) 2014 Service Transformations conference in Las Vegas.

The TSIA STAR Award for Innovation in the Delivery of Support Services recognizes the company that has most effectively embraced innovation in people, process and technology to increase agent productivity, service levels or customer satisfaction, increase problem avoidance, or effectively handle more interactions using unassisted channels.

Palo Alto Networks supports more than 19,000 global customers, and over the past two years enhanced all aspects of customer support services. As a result, customer support revenue improved by triple-digit percentages over a 12-month period, and the company succeeded in:

  • Improving service quality, customer experience and customer success;
  • Improving global 24 x 7 presence for product assistance and repair and replace services;
  • Expanding global support presence at rapid speed without degrading quality; and
  • Maximizing employee engagement and motivation to achieve the strongest results.

“We are honored to be recognized by the Technology Service Industry Association for Innovation in the Delivery of Support Services,” said Matthew Stauble, vice president, Global Customer Support at Palo Alto Networks. “While we are proud of the many innovative services and solutions that were recognized, what really matters is the industry-leading levels of customers success and satisfaction that our support teams were able to deliver through our innovative support delivery platform.”

“The STAR Awards program is a long-standing honor in the technology services industry, recognizing organizations that set the standard for leadership and dedication to this important market space,” said J.B. Wood, president and CEO of TSIA. “Palo Alto Networks has clearly demonstrated its high-level commitment to delivering world-class results in the area of Innovation in the Delivery of Support Services and it was an honor to recognize them at our TSW Service Transformations event.”

Companies seeking the STAR Award undergo a rigorous evaluation process, with the winners selected by TSIA’s service discipline advisory board members. Since its inception in 1990, the STAR Awards have become one of the highest honors in the technology services industry, acknowledging the contribution of companies of all sizes to the continual improvement of technology services delivery industry-wide.
