One connected security platform -- comprising Cortex XSIAM and Unit 42 Managed Detection and Response (MDR) -- gives Transmed a unified security experience powered by real-time AI, advanced analytics, and automation, where all data and issues converge into a single source of truth. By simplifying and streamlining security in one platform, Transmed can now see and act on threats more quickly. Approximately 70GB of data is collected and ingested each day from network security firewalls, more than 1,600 devices, and other systems. Unit 42 MDR combines 24/7 monitoring, response, and proactive threat hunting with Cortex advanced AI and Unit 42 Threat Intelligence. Combined with a platform-native approach, it helps Transmed detect and resolve threats faster while simplifying security operations. This allows the organisation to quickly identify and stop malicious activity most likely to impact its operations. In just four months, Transmed has gone from limited visibility of mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to respond (MTTR) to a centralised platform where all issues are closed through automation. Professional Services has been instrumental in this success, working collaboratively with Transmed to create value from the platform faster," says Abbas. \* ### Increases efficiency by 40% By channelling security monitoring through Unit 42 MDR experts, Transmed has increased security efficiency by 40%. This gives the team more time to focus on strategic security services and projects, such as modelling security for new business acquisitions. 70% of all issues are resolved by automation through three playbooks, and Unit 42 further reduces alert fatigue among the Transmed team so they can focus on more strategic initiatives. The team estimates they are saving the equivalent of three full-time employees annually with Cortex XSIAM and Unit 42 Managed XSIAM. "We've removed so much of the manual heavy lifting associated with security. Less time is spent staring at false positive issues and security screens, which has really energised and motivated our team to focus on what matters most to our business," comments Dr Mourad. \* ### Optimises compliance and client confidence "The Palo Alto Networks platformization strategy sends a strong message to our employees, customers, suppliers, and partners that Transmed runs a resilient and forward-thinking business and supply chain operation," explains Mazen Damiani, Chief Operations Officer at Transmed. Furthermore, the platformization strategy directly supports Transmed's ISO certification efforts by providing rigorous, verifiable security controls and comprehensive audit trails necessary for ongoing compliance. This is just the start of the partnership between Transmed and Palo Alto Networks. Looking ahead, Transmed is evaluating the network security platform, the use of Cortex AgentiXTM to plan and carry out complex agentic workflows, while continuing its journey toward a zero trust architecture.
