The General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, is the European Union’s personal data protection law that will replace the 1995 Data Protection Directive, on 25 May 2018. The GDPR aims to provide Europeans with greater say in how their personal data is collected and managed.
The GDPR is a complex data protection law that includes numer-ous obligations regarding data management. Palo Alto Networks can contribute to an organisation’s overall efforts to comply with GDPR – particularly efforts related to data security and protection. Palo Alto Networks does not claim to address all aspects of GDPR compliance, but our Next-Generation Security Platform should be viewed as an essential part of GDPR compliance.
