Cortex XDR Rides The Forrester Wave as a Leader

Palo Alto Networks launched Cortex XDR in 2019 with the goal of providing a solution to a siloed detection and response market. We are thrilled to announce that today Palo Alto Networks has been named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Endpoint Security Software as a Service, Q2 2021 report.

Palo Alto Networks was among 12 select vendors that Forrester evaluated for its Q2 2021 Endpoint Security Software as a Service report. Forrester evaluated the vendors based on criteria in the categories of current offering, strategy and market presence.

According to the Forrester report, the Palo Alto Networks XDR strategy “is the most comprehensive in this study, offering threat prevention, detection, and access controls spanning endpoint, IoT, network, and cloud apps,” and, "Palo Alto Networks is an easy shortlist addition for enterprise buyers looking to adopt a modern endpoint security solution or a broad XDR strategy with strong threat prevention."

This year’s report recognizes how endpoint security solutions have evolved from on-premises solutions to cloud-managed security products that start at the endpoint but extend to other security layers.

It is our privilege and honor to continue to solve the concerns our customers have shared with us and provide them with a platform they can trust to protect them from the most sophisticated attack techniques and adversaries. We agree with Forrester, as the ESS Wave notes, that “Endpoint security tools must balance effective threat prevention with automatic and precise threat detection,” and this is at the heart of our Cortex XDR platform as witnessed by our recent outstanding performance in the face of real world and evaluative threats:
