CHALLENGES
Westfield operates 34 malls in the US and UK, and strives to create landmark shopping destinations and a great experience for its retail partners and 400 million customers. It needed to improve and expand its digital offerings, particularly as retail was dramatically transformed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
REQUIREMENTS
As Westfield moved to become a stronger digital enterprise with more mobile applications and public-facing websites, it needed to provide secure access to those digital resources. It also needed for its IT department to have control and visibility across a widely distributed network, with increased flexibility to meet changing conditions and reduced costs.
SOLUTION
Secure access service edge, or SASE, brings together networking and security technologies into a single, cloud-delivered service model. Deploying Prisma SASE, a combination of Prisma Access and Prisma SD WAN, Westfield was able to streamline application development and business processes, strengthen security, and improve the experience for employees, retail partners, and customers.
