Ransomware groups are growing bolder and ransom demands are on the rise.
According to the 2022 Unit 42® Ransomware Threat Report, the average ransom demand in cases we handled climbed 144% to $2.2 million in 2021. At the same time, there was an 85% increase in the number of victims who had their names and other details posted publicly on dark web “leak sites.”
