Sam Rubin, Senior VP at Palo Alto Networks, leads Unit 42’s consulting and threat intelligence team. With 20+ years in cybersecurity, he has built global incident response teams and tackled some of the most significant cyber threats organizations face today.

Sherrod DeGrippo, Unit 42’s vice president of threat intelligence, is a prominent leader in the threat intelligence community. She has over 20 years of experience building and scaling intelligence organizations, including at Microsoft and Proofpoint, where she led teams turning global threat intelligence into customer protection.

Steve is a cybersecurity professional with extensive experience advising senior corporate leadership and Boards of Directors through security incidents, and helping organizations develop, mature, and test their cyber defense programs. He provides both strategic guidance to executive leadership, as well as tactical hardening guidance to their teams.

Stefano brings decades of experience protecting global enterprises. He’s navigated the trenches of major cyber incidents, transformed security programs as a CISO, and early in his career, even helped launch the Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR).

Philippa Cogswell has over 20 years of global security, technology, and leadership experience. Philippa has led cybersecurity teams and capability development across defensive security, incident response, threat intelligence, cyber strategy and risk management. Prior to Unit 42, Philippa was a Partner with PwC, and has worked with both Australian and British lead security agencies, as well as UK’s Centre for Protection of Critical Infrastructure.

Patrick was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, advising Fortune 500 clients in Risk, Digital, Fraud, and Cyber. He defined and implemented strategies aligning technology, risk management, and operational objectives. With over 20 years of experience, including senior roles at J.P. Morgan Chase and ING, Patrick has built an extensive career bridging technical expertise with business strategy across financial services, insurance, and technology.

Sharon Maydar, Vice President, Managed Services, has over 20 years of experience in tech, leading R&D and product teams in enterprise companies and startups. Prior to joining Unit 42, she led the development of Lightcyber's Behavioral Detection Engine and its integration into Cortex XDR®.

Under the leadership of Wendi Whitmore, Unit 42 has become a globally recognized incident response leader. She previously led IBM’s X-Force incident response and threat intelligence teams. Wendi is an appointed member of the Department of Homeland Security’s inaugural Cyber Safety Review Board.
